Upgrading video card

So I'm gonna just sell off my back up PC and use the money to upgrade the video card in my main PC. I figure I'll get around $200. What AGP vid card would I get the best out of for this price range, new or used. I get lost in all the different vid card models anymore with XL,XT,LE, GT, etc, etc...

XT is good in ATI, bad in nvidia. LE is always bad. GT is good (nvidia only) and XL is...bad, right? I think it's bad, but not as bad as LE.

Try getting yourself an x800 series (ATI) or 6800 series or 7800GS (both nvidia). Those will keep you happy for a good while.

for an agp you should be able to find a x800xtpe for that price. and thats an awesome card.

I'd say a 6800GS would be your best bet. It is within your budget, is a powerful card, and can OC like crazy to make it a force to be reckoned with. If you can stretch a bit, you could also go for a x850 PRO. It is a fairly decent card on it's own. however, it can be made even better by flashing either a XT or XT PE BIOS as the extra 4 pipelines are unlockable.

used in forums you should be able to find a great deal on any of those.
you may even find a 6800 ultra for close to that used.

The card came in yesterday and I got it installed this morning. Now to see if I can flash it to an XT PE
