what was your old card?
the 5200 is equivalent in performance to ~ a GeForce MX4000 it isnt a very powerful card, but im sure it didnt cost you much either.

If you don't plan on playing any hardcore games, it looks like a decent enough card.

its an older card, it should do fine if you dont expect it to play newer games.
im not sure about the 256 mb version but i know the ti4200 was a better card than the fx5200 128mb

i would try out 3dmark01 also, see what kind of score you get.
you can d/l it here

5200's are still very good cards, IMO.

They can run Battlefield 2, Halo 2, San Andreas, HL2, etc.... all the latest and greatest VERY well.

The only games i've seen 5200's have problems on is Doom 3 and Quake 4 (both on the same engine). I know this because my bros still run Athlon XP 2000+'s with 5200's. They game harder than I do, and the games run well on thier systems.

I can tell you right now a Ti4200 won't run BF2 unless everything is set to minimum, and even then I still doubt it will run decent. My bro's computer had a XP 2400 and a 5200, and it ran Doom 3, not sure how well though. The family comp we have now is his old one but with a Ti4200 in it, and I know it runs Doom 3 because I had to play it on there until I built my rig. It was on med/low settings, but it worked fine.
