You need to set your "bootable add in device" to sata
and then put it first in the boot priority table

I had to boot up in BIOS with the HDD in and re-set the hard disk boot priority to put the ATA HDD below the "Bootable Add-In Card" and that solved it.

I was thinking it was somthing like that, but without knowing the bios maker and revision, i couldn't tell you how to do it. Glad your back up and going.

The reason I couldn't do it that way before was because the ATA hard drive wasn't plugged in, hence it didn't get recognized.
