Quick Question

Could someone please explain the difference to me about the graphics cards and the networking card? The prices for each are the same. Thanks

Well just from CPU comparison, you want pentium over celery. The intel wireless is probably best, because the hardware is most likely optimized for an intel system and probably takes less power to run. That's a guess but it makes sense to me.

yoru guess is as good as mine. Those were the only things i wasnt sure about for a laptop. Gotta get one this summer ya know
Would yall say a 1.8GHz is fast enough? (the computer im using now is a 1.1, works fine...)

i can say that acer or asus are great laptops, get a 6600 card or the equivelant of it. 1.8 dothan is what i have in mine, when yiou get ready to buy we will help you find the best for your budget.

Im ready to buy once i find a good deal. looking for $700-$800 (tops)
keep in mind i us ethe computer like more normal people. music, movies, emails, essays, a few games (mostly from the mid 90s actualy...)
Yea..twas looking at a Compaq @ costco.com actualy

with a few upgrades to 80gb(4200prm) and uhm.......inless i change the processor, thats probobly it actualy. Actualy, maybe change teh ram from 2x256 to 1x512. Is there a difference in terms of efficiency if ido that>? i know it leaves me space for mor eram later on, but in the nnow, any real difference?

It runs in DC if paired, if I'm not mistaken. I'd go with the 1x256, then use what you've saved, sell the old and get 2x512. That is if it's cheaper than adding $65. Dang RAMs getting cheaper. Also, I HIGHLY recommend you get the 5400rpm drive...
