Which will be compatible!!!

I want to upgrade my Computer . For that , i had chosen Intel dual core processor of 3GHz clock pulse. But i am confused with motherboard. Which one will be the more compatible out of Intel Motherboard 945 or Asus motherboard. Previously , i had Intel motherboard and that was good but now the Asus motherboards are the best motherboards.So, i can't make decision.

Please help me out!!!

Which exact motherboards are you looking at? Intel motherboards are generally plain with very little frills and most likely no oc'ing features.
