Haha, well I loosened the timings a bit on my RAM (changed CAS from 2.5 to 3), and now I have a successful stable overclock with a 5MHz increase on the FSB. Running at 3.08GHz, w00t! I just ran Orthos (a program similiar to Prime95) for over 12 hours, and no errors.

Haha, temps are barely increased at all (1C up). I'm going to keep trying and see how high I can get, although I doubt it will be much more with my RAM, lol.

210 MHz stable after 10hrs on Orthos!!!!

It's amazing how much a small RAM timing adjustment can help so much. haha, running at 3.157 GHz, w00t.

I think I'm going to be more daring now... a whopping 220 FSB test coming up!

EDIT: wouldn't boot at 220 MHz... backed it down to 215 and running stress test... I might go back later and loosen the RAM timings and try to get higher.

i would say loosen the ram as far as you can, or put in a divider and see what the cpu and mobo will do first.

Okay, it wouldn't run 5 minutes on Orthos without an error at 215MHz. I guess I'll loosen the RAM because I don't know anything about putting in a divider, heh. Planning on changing it to 3-4-4-9 and trying for 220MHz again...

UPDATE: Can't even OC to 215 with out errors, even with RAM timings loosened all the way... Looks like 210 is my max stable OC for now.

In CPU-Z, the Core Speed fluctuates from 3157 to 3158 (decimals constantly changing in between these 2 numbers), and the voltage changes from 1.320 to 1.344.

Are these changes normal?

What can I say - my computer is possibly one of the worst overclockers ever.

I changed the settings back in the BIOS (down to 210 MHz with 3-3-3-8 timings) and NOW I got errors after 7 hours and 10 minutes of Orthos...

I think I'm going to start messing with voltage next, heh (mainly memory voltage). Hope I don't fry anything lol.
