I wanted to build a folding farm so I decided to see how many farm layers I could get into one case. This makes it easy to transport but a pain to work on. My first one "One of Four" started out as a 486-90 in a huge case.
I cut everything out of the case and cut holes for 4 Powersupplies.

Then I split the case down the middle with a dual sided motherboard tray

Here is a picture with all the mobos mounted.

Right Side:

This is a picture of the front while it is running with the front removed, it just clips on for easy access:

Coolinf of CPUS is by ducts:

This is a shot of the inside looking back to the ethernet hub:

There are 4 ea. XP2400's with 2ea. having 512meg ram and 2 having 256 meg. I wanted to run Overclockix LTSP on all of it but the built in network cards would not communicate with stanford so 3 ea. are running windblows and one has a PXE bootable NIC and it runs Overclockix LTSP client.

Now that's what you call an efficient use of space.

It does not put out as much heat as I thought it would. The case temp is around 11F higher than ambient. I have an XP2200 running at XP2400 speed, not much of an OC but that case is much hotter. I think its just good air flow in this one.

Whoa! That is pretty cool. I wonder if I could do something like that with the 4xEpia5000's I've got sitting around? I'd bet I could split one PSU per 2 Epia's, too.

I've given me an idea...
