A lot of it depends on your budget. there is no best laptop really, it depends on what you need it for and if your budget can meet those needs.
if it can then having a laptop that does everything you want it to do is the best laptop. having a laptop that can play any game out there and you only use it for microsoft word would be a waste of money. so what do you want to do with it and how much can you spend are the main questions. |

Please be more specific about what you want from your laptop. Whether you want performance as a gaming enthusiast or you are average user and want more juice from the battery. Then only I'll be able to guide you as on which laptop would suite best to you.

I purchased the HP DV9207us. Core Duo 1.73Ghz, 1Gb ram, 120Gb HD, nVidia 7600 Go 256.
After 3 months of ownership, I still love it. Battery life sucks. I get about 1.5-1.75 hr life. Its a full size laptop, but I needed the key number pad. Its a great desktop replacement. It came with Vista Premium, which I have also installed XP Pro and openSUSE. SUSE runs well. Only issue I haven't resolved is using the headphone jacks. I play CS:S, BF2/2142 and AA. All the games play great under XP. I can play CS:S in Vista. And havn't attempted AA yet. BF 2142 plays, but not well. Also, this machine has an extra HD bay. The cost of the carrier is about $40 then the cost of a sata drive. Thats m next upgrade. Hope this helps. |

I think you should go for Toshiba laptops. They are the inventors of Laptops and have all range starting from simple celeron to advance Core 2 duo processors. Now its you choice;what type of laptop will suits your requirements.
If you are a gaming freak , then go for core 2 duo processor and 1 Gb RAM , otherwise P4 will be enough for you. |
