For mobile's? Gentoo, once installed properly, is probably the best for laptops. I'd love to say debian, but it isn't exactly known as a 'portable man's OS'. Try something like Knoppix.

Linux is not working well on my friend's laptop. It creates a lot of problems .He often ask me what to do, but i am able to answer his questions. I think the main problem of linux of not working well on laptops is unavailability of good device drivers. Linux is open source thats why some time it doesn't provide the best driver for a device.

Linux is not working well on laptops. Especially on Acer laptops. My friend wants to learn Linux but when he install that on his acer laptop, it start creating problems. Some time speakers don't work or some time mouse pad fails.
I think it is all due to the lack of drivers. Linux is an open source thats why he is not getting the right drivers for his laptop! |
