anyone use google sky?

it is really cool to check out all the planets. in google earth just click on the sky button on top

Has anyone noticed that when you look thru the earth there are points of interest pined...

Figured it out...BUT Google does not have the distances right...
Either that website is wrong or Google is wrong...

i think the google sky is fairly new but it definately looks promising.

someday...maybe...it would be suitable for interstellar travel...but right now its worse than a paper map....

LOL yeah, i do like the feature of being able to put in your address and look at the sky above you though. i can really see the stars here at night when it is clear.

I haven't used google earth much (google maps works just as well and doesn't have to be installed), so I don't have google sky...

... But, I do use Sky Orb. It's a fully detailed sky map (DX9 rendered) that can be configured to view from any place on any celesial body in the solar system from any time and date. It's kinda cool, and it's supposed to be scientifically accurate. If you guys want, I can find you a link for it (or upload the installer... it's on my other HDD)...
