LN2

Has anyone just submerged the MB, CPU, Memory, etc in a tub of liquid nitrogen? Or would this be a nightmare?

any of those things you might as well forget about insulating, every dry ice setup i see has like 1" thick insulation and still has ice all over the mobo.

if you need subzero, your cheapest way is dry ice, about $15 for a whole day plus the tube.

Phase change system is about $500-$800

and Peltier setup ranges from $250-$400

I remember seeing someone who submerged the whole thing in oil, and was using LN2 on the CPU and GPU. There was enough seepage of the cold that it chilled the oil pretty well, but I've never seen a mobo submerged in the LN2 itself.

You talkin' 'bout the "Oil Computers"? I saw a site a while back that was all in german or french or something and it was all 'bout these computers that were built in fishtanks filled with oil. It looked intresting, so I bookmarked it...but I forgot to save all of my bookmarks when I reformatted

'bout submerging everything in LN2...DO IT

But be sure to test it out with an old piece of crap computer (P1 or something...just so see if it kills it...)

Have fun
