testing out my pelt

i just got this pelt and wanted to test it and just see what kinda temps it will do on its own and to make sure it works.

so i got the water running thru it to about 26C as that is about what my current water setup runs at.

i really like it, cant wait to get it on my card.

the wires running to the psu did get warm so im going to get a larger gauge wire and better connectors for less resistance.

ill post in this thread with pics as i go with it.

its a Swiftech MCW50-T

The thermoeletric module pulls approximately 7.5A at 12 volts.
80 Watts built-in thermoelectric module
Optimal cooling capacity: will dissipate 53 Watts continuous thermal load to ambient temperature

if you are ripping it apart and everything, you may want to replace the pelt with something bigger. the 80W was fine for me, but bigger = better (if you have a good PSU, that is)

yeah get the 172w 24v 40mm

even if you're only going to run it at 12v it's better than the 80w
