Dry Ice Plannin'!

Alright, I've got a source of dry ice (school can supply me with basically as much as I need, probably for free, but I may have to pay a bit... or I can get it at walmart)!

I'm planning on doing something like this (http://www.virtualfreshair.com/dryicecpu/dryicecpu.htm ). I'm going to lap the bottom of the can tho, and use one of those foam coolie cups with the bottom cut out around the can. The plan is to rubber band it or tie it to the CPU. I'm definately using AS5 between the lapped CPU and the lapped can.

I'm going to put either rubbing alcohol or everclear or acetone in the can (about 1/4 full), and then put the dry ice in that. That way, it'll get the best contact with the CPU, and the alcohol hopefully won't freeze (but if it does, that'll still be cool o.O)...

Any suggestions or modifications you guys can think of?

you will need to cover the board because it will splash out like crazy, there is no condensation protection that the guy used so i bet it made it for one run until it got wet.

Of course...

I forgot to mention that I plan to spray the entire mobo with non-conductive clear coat (can get it online and other places). I'll mask off all the slots and sockets and stuff and then spray away

You can even get UV reactive stuff... so I might have to throw a blacklight in my case and I'll have a glowing mobo o.O

You think that'd work?

Great idea. I will also try that at home. I think it should work and will be helpful to make computer cool. If it will work fine then the expenditure will converts into saving because i am planning to have one cooling apparatus for my PC.
